The Quadra Education Foundation (QEF) was established to raise funds and award scholarships to current and former cadets and adult staff who have served in HMCS QUADRA Cadet Training Centre, located in Comox, British Columbia, Canada.
Over the past 70 years, more than 80,000 cadets and adult staff from across Canada have trained at HMCS QUADRA, many of whom have served on multiple occasions.
The QEF is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency and tax receipts are issued for donations.
Established in 2016, the QEF was created as a stand-alone entity by the Quadra Alumni Association (QAA), which had previously issued scholarships to HMCS QUADRA cadets and adult staff.
Since then, the QEF has supported more than 100 post-secondary students and raised more than $200,000 from generous donors, including HMCS QUADRA alumni and supporters. It is led by a volunteer board of directors, all of whom are HMCS QUADRA alumni.
